Hey guys,
Would just like to start by saying Happy New Year to everyone, i hope 2010 is a great year for all of us. I would also like to thank everyone who attended Passion vs Storm on NYE at the Emporium in Coalville. The event itself was absolutely amazing and was the best atmosphere I have experienced in an English club. Passion was the first ever club i played in the UK in 2006 and to play there on NYE was an absolute honour for myself. Thanks to Jimmy Dean and Genix for their trust and support in me, means a lot.
January is shaping up to be a very productive month for me in the studio with a number of different projects on the go. I am currently working on a number of different projects right across the musical spectrum and I am very excited as to how these will turn out. I am working on a number of new original projects including a 140 bpm big room trancer which i am very excited about. The melody is huge and I have big hopes for the track. More information will be coming on this track next month. I am also currently working on a remix of John Askew's track Battery Acid which will form part of his remix album to be released later in the year. I will soon be starting work on my first ever original vocal track which will feature an amazing vocalist called Della Mannion. It will be a big challenge to undertake but is something that I am really looking forward to working on and am very excited as to how the end result will sound. I was also recently in the studio with Timmy & Tommy which was both highly enjoyable and productive and we are delighted with the result. Loco Motive is a 130 bpm techno monster that is sure to destroy a lot of dancefloors over the next few months. Intial feedback to the track has been incredibly positive and the track will be released on Full Tilt Recordings with some fantastic remixes. Further news on everything will come next month.
2010 will also be the year that I will launch my very own digital label. KEARNAGE Recordings will launch in April of this year and it's a project that I am very excited about. People may be wondering what style the label will be but there will be no dedicated style or genre. I am also starting the label due to my own personal frustration at other labels unwilling to take a risk on something different and a little bit out there. The label will be a mirror image of my style as a DJ and won't be pigeonholed into one specific category. The first release on the label will be my very own track " The Next Chapter", a hybrid of relentless techno beats and a roof raising melody in the break. Remixes will come from Fabio Stein under his "Uprise" guise and also from Chris Metcalfe whose recent productions have show that he has a huge future in front of him. More information on the label will be coming next month.
2010 will also see me performing my dj duties right across the globe with appearances in Australia, America, South America, Asia, Europe and right across the UK all planned over the next 12 months.
